STEM at Home — Water Filter Engineering Kit

Engineer a real water filtration system at home and tackle one of the world's most important challenges. Pairs directly with EdTech Academy's Workshop 6: Environmental Science — Build a Mini Water Filter (July STEM Workshops 2026).

Students build a layered filtration system using gravel, sand, and cotton to clean muddy water — discovering how each layer removes different-sized particles. Connects hands-on engineering to global environmental science and public health.

Kit includes:

• Small gravel (pre-measured bag)

• Fine sand (pre-measured bag)

• Cotton balls (10)

• Coffee filters (4)

• Plastic funnel

• Muddy water mix (dry powder — just add water)

• 2 collection cups
